COMPETITION DETAILS
Dressage
Dressage competitions are usually held in the indoor arena with the warm up on a surfaced outdoor arena. We run both Affiliated and Unaffiliated Dressage shows. Unaffiliated shows include a No Canter Dressage test (copy found on this website) to encourage beginners and novice horses to have a go. If entries warrant, we split this class Lead Rein, Juniors (under 16’s) and Seniors.
Show Jumping
The warm up and classes are held in the outdoor arenas. The classes in our new 60 x 45 arena. Classes start at 45cm to encourage beginners and children. We open each course up before the class as clear round jumping (time permitting) to give those who want a practice a go.
One Day Events / Cross Country
Run as Points Qualifiers for both Essex Rider and Chiltern & Thames Rider these prove to be very popular. The competitions are run at Novice (2’6”) and Open (3’0”). The Dressage is held on grass in the show paddock and the jumping on a surface.
Showing
We run 3 main showing shows per year which are very popular indeed. Most classes are qualifiers for various societies / championships.
Fun /Children’s Shows
These are really fun shows that we run during the school holidays and incorporate children’s showing and fun jumping classes amongst other things.
